Hi there! My name is Justin, and together with my wife Pamela and my daughter Audrey, we are Proper Pivot LLC. We find joy and excitement in helping homeowners out of tough situations and restoring once-vibrant homes back to their natural beauty.

Pamela and I unintentionally began our real estate investment journey in December 2012 when we bought our perfect “starter” home. A few years later, we were ready to put down roots and purchased another home in a beautiful new development located in Raeford, North Carolina.  Excited about our new adventure, but unsure of what to do with our first home, we decided to take our shot as landlords. The pivot from homeowner to landlord was seamless. Together with our property manager, we were able to provide the perfect home for an incredible tenant — and it felt fantastic!

In 2018, our most joyous year, we welcomed our daughter Audrey into our family. We recognized that our fast-paced lives as a registered nurse and active-duty military serviceman were not ideal for being able to cherish life with our beautiful daughter.

We soon realized that by being landlords, we can provide quality homes to families while also building wealth and passive income for our future. That same year, we set a goal to replace the majority of our day job income with income from real estate by 2029. That moment marked our very first pivot towards freedom and fulfillment — and it is the best decision we have ever made. 

In 2020, we founded Proper Pivot LLC — a company committed to helping homeowners out of difficult situations and providing a charming and safe place for others in our community to enjoy. Through our experience and expansive network in the Fayetteville, North Carolina area we are able to purchase homes in AS-IS condition (no repairs needed) and restore them to their full potential. 

At Proper Pivot, we do our best to make sure that you, the homeowner, are benefiting from the sale of your home. We understand that not every scenario will provide a win-win opportunity, we are willing and able to personally connect you with local real estate agents, investors, and contractors to help you reach your goal.
